"Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another as God, in Christ, has forgiven you."
(Ephesians 4:32)
Forgiveness is the greatest gift God so lavishly gives to us. Do we truly understand this Divine forgiveness? We know it opens the possibility of the heavenly hereafter, but what does it mean for us in the earthly right now? Come explore forgiveness together to eliminate common misconceptions and better understand God's love.
Mark your calendar to join us the first Wednesday of each month for an inspirational day of prayer and reflection. We begin at 9:30 am with coffee and pastries, a morning presentation at 10:00 am.; Mass in the chapel; a delicious lunch and an afternoon presentation at 1:30 pm. There is also an hour of free time after lunch to walk the beautiful grounds, pray the labyrinth, or just to relax outdoors at the pond. Our day concludes at 3:00 pm.

The spiritual journey requires us to know and celebrate our authentic selves. Yet, as human beings we wear many masks, both interiorly and on the exterior. How can these masks enlighten and empower us to become more fully alive? As the Seasons begin to change and we are called to go inward, you are invited to join us for an overnight opportunity of self-exploration. Participants will learn about the history of wearing masks and, through prayer, discussion and mask-making, be able to further understand how these activities affect one's spiritual journey and development. Participants are encouraged to bring a journal, however, all other necessary supplies will be provided.

Care for the Care Giver: Join us for a Time of Respite
Come away awhile, let us care for you! If you are a caregiver, often you are considered the pillar of strength in your particular situation. We understand the cost of that strength and the burdens of putting yourself at the service of another: the lack of personal time, and the lost energy for other roles.

There is no gift in the Christian tradition more reflective of the presence and action of God in our world than the gift of compassion. During this installment of our series, our guide, Sr. Patricia Parachini, will lead us in prayer and reflection on the gift of compassion in the Carmelite Tradition.

In 1521 Ignatius received a grave wound and while recuperating, experienced a conversion and began a process of transformation that would ultimately change him and the world. During this retreat, our focus is to discover how God directed Ignatius during those early formative years and taught him to understand his spirituality as "contemplation in action". We will explore the early experiences of Ignatius at the Benedictine shrine of Our Lady of Montserrat, then during the experiences of Manresa and how they changed Loyola from master teacher to pilgrim learner and how it made all the difference in what God was about in him.

Singing is one of the most essential elements of worship. Short songs, repeated again and again in a meditative character use a few words to express a basic reality of faith, quickly grasped by the mind. Plan to join Brother Stefan Waligur for a unique retreat exploring and opening ourselves to the mystery of combined song and chanting, times of silence, and brief conversations around scripture to establish a simple rhythm and structure to enter more deeply into prayer, meditation and contemplation. Original songs, Celtic melodies, and Taize chants provide the musical menu for this memorable weekend of prayer and contemplation.

Those carrying the burden of grief are invited to join in a morning of prayer, care and compassion for each other. This is the first in a regular quarterly series to help those experiencing grief to learn how to support, accept and grow in our pain and separation
and to learn how to believe that God joins in our pain and wills that we heal and live in hope.
There is no fee to attend (a free will offering
is invited). However, we do ask that you reserve space in the group by calling 410-442-1320.
